Legislative violence as fist fight broke in Haitian Parliament - Goumen Nan Paleman
A fist fight between members of the Haitian Parliament interrupted a session of the House on August 7, 2013. During a heated discussion some Deputies decided to get at each other and Some physical contact was exchanged in the incident that occurred. It's still unclear just what, exactly, the fight was about.
Legislative violence refers to any violent clashes between members of a legislature, often physically inside the legislature and triggered by divisive issues and tight votes.
This type of incident occurred in many countries, due to stress and anger and notable incidents still regularly occur.
