Here is the funeral of the leader of the Voodoo religion in Haiti, Max Beauvoir. His funeral that is some how different that the usual Christian religion took place at his residence in the presence of friends and families.

Haitian customs regarding end of life, practices voodoo funeral rites unlike any other place in the world. The funeral of Max Beauvoir, the supreme leader (Ati) of Haitian Voodoo took place at his residence in the presence of friends and families; it was much different from usual Christian rites. Haiti has always claimed Roman Catholicism officially, but with an existent cultural split; they practice voodoo alongside it with no sense of contrast between the two. The concept of voodoo teaches that death is not a frightful thing; life and death are two complimentary forces and death is an extension of life. On September 16, on the day of Max Beauvoir's funeral, Voodoo practitioners danced before an altar before the funeral of the Supreme chief of Haitian Voodoo. On September 16, the Haitian government officials and dignitaries from all religions in the country visited to pay tribute to him at the Champ de Mars on a national tribute.
