Laurent Lamothe at UN, We can't let 6 Senators Extremist block progress
Haitian Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe reacted against the Senators in opposition. On the steps of the UN in New York, he clearly stated that he is going to talk about the progress of his government on the world stage at the UN. He came with President Michel Martelly to talk about Haiti and the progress they have achieved from 2010 to present. They will be talking about the electoral process where the government will continue the dialogue so that the elections can take place as soon as possible.
He will be talking about the willingness of his government to organize elections in Haiti and that 6 Senators in opposition want to hold the country back.
He mentioned some the progress the government has accomplished, including improvement in security. Deaths have decreased more than 54 percent, kidnapping decreased to more than 88 percent. They increased the Police force to more than 32 percent. The Haitian economy has increased to 4.3 percent, and much more...
