Inauguration of new CIMO building
Inauguration of new CIMO building.
On the 18th anniversary of the Corps of Intervention and Maintenance of Order (CIMO), on February 13, 2014, President Martelly had promised his administration's commitment to provide a building to the PNH and framework to strengthen its activity. On that occasion, he had also appreciated the role of the Haitian National Police forces for the perseverance and maintenance of laws. About twenty months later, on October 14, 2015, the new CIMO building has been inaugurated. The new three storeyed building, covering an area of 1,500 square meters is equipped with a library, conference room, a shooting space, dormitory with a capacity of 400 beds, a cafeteria, laundry, games room gymnasium and parking space for over 30 vehicles. The construction took nine months to complete and costs $4.2 million of State fund.
