« Previous · Next »Here is Sandra Honore taking questions regarding the resignation of CEP member Nehemy Joseph, Cholera and Dominican republic Crisis.
Sandra Honoré serves in Haiti as the Head of the United Nations Stabilization Mission (MINUSTAH) and the United Nations Special Representative. On October 14, 2015, when she was asked by Inner City Press about the resignation of Nehemy Joseph, she said the time of resignation was not appropriate. However, the work of the council would be continued and a replacement from his representing section will be found out. Regarding deported Haitians, she said that the U.N is working to support Haiti in receiving those who are coming from the D.R and it is also working to contribute as necessary by the whole framework in both the countries, D.R and Haiti. However, she did not respond about the compensation to the cholera victims.
