This band is best known for its slow kompa style; however, during the carnival, the band can bring many fans behind them celebrating all night. Djakout Number One produced many successful records but one that has remained the all time favorite is "La Familia Album".
At specific period of time, Djakout Number One was involved in a fierce competition with another popular Haitian Kompa band T-Vice. This was at the disappointment of many when they realized that the two music bands were comprised of longtime friends, and that the competition between them was a way to provide excitement to the public
