Video - Protest against Michel Martelly's Government in Port-au-Prince

The Haitian population took to the streets on Sunday, September 30, 2012 to protest against the current government of Michel Martelly. After the Cities of Les Cayes, Cap-Haitian and other regions, this past Sunday was the turn of the people in the Haitian Capital Port-au-Prince to show their frustration about the current situation.

Several thousands of people were marching around the National Palace on Sunday, September 30, 2012 to protest against the high cost of living. Many demanded that the government leave office. Current Haitian Senator Moise Jean-Charles arrived on a horse to take part of the manifestation.

This protest was organized by the Fanmi lavalas political party, a party that was headed by former president Jena Bertrand Aristide who has managed to keep a low profile since his returned to Haiti.
