Royal Oasis, 5-Star Hotel is set to open in December 2012 in in Petion-Ville, Haiti
We just learned that the new luxurious hotel Royal Oasis will be open for business this year. According to Haiti Tourism Minister, Stephanie Villedrouin, the 5-Star Hotel will start its operation beginning December 12, 2012, just on time to make your reservation for Chirstmas. The announcement was made, followed a meeting between Villedrouin and Spanish hotel company Occidental Hotels & Resorts, which is managing entity of the project.
Royal Oasis hotel is a 130 room city hotel that will operate under the management of the Spanish hospitality chain Occidental Hotels & Resorts (OHR). The hotel will be equipped with a retail component (shops), a conference center, many restaurants and bars, lounges, a bank, an outdoor café-terrace, parking facility and other various amenities. You will be able to enjoy gym, art gallery, coffee shop and much more.
The hotel has been contributing in employing Haitians. Some of the hotel's staff are graduates of the L'Ecole Hoteliere Haitienne. Last year, the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund invested $2 million in Royal Oasis Hotel becaouse the construction of the hotel was halted due the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

The government of Michel Martelly recognized the effort as Jerry Tardieu, the hotel's chief executive officer, was named the president of the Council of Economic and Social Development, a "strategic" body organized by Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe in June.
Royal Oasis hotel is located at 115 Rue Panamericaine in Petion-Ville.
