Cardinal Chibly Langlois celebrated first Mass

Before an audience of several thousand people, at the soccer stadium Silvio Cator in downtown Port-au-Prince, the new Cardinal of Haiti, Chibly Langlois celebrated his first Mass.

His message on the occasion was telling the crowd there is a need to show compassion for others.Cardinal Langlois stated that many people would not survive or they would go hungry if it was not for the kindness of others.

Chibly Langlois is the first Haitian cardinal named by Pope Francis. He came from La valle de Jacmel.
