As you can see during this protest the participants are chanting: :Vive Poutine Aba Obama. Do you thing this is a good move for the people protesting to remove the current government of Michel Martelly from power in Haiti
Political commentator, Michael Deibert says, ". . . it could be a tumultuous time in January . . ." if there is neither a Parliament nor prime minister. He cautioned ". . . political instability would undermine confidence in the government . . ." making the international community skittish about continuing to invest in Haiti.
Port-au-Prince has been besieged by violent uprisings lately, with demonstrators demanding elections be held, delayed since 2011. They also want both Lamothe and Martelly to leave office. The CC, to resolve the impasse, has suggested Lamothe, the Supreme Court Justice, and Provisional Electoral Council members all resign at once, and a provisional government organized to hold elections by January 11th.
