Here is a Protest in New York against Jovenel Moise during visit. PHTK Candidate traveling on Haiti and U.S.'s Dime
Haitian immigrants began arriving in NYC in the early 1900s. The upper classes were the first to touch U.S. soil, followed the lower-classes, who were fleeing political upheavals. In particular many Haitians of the intelligentsia left Haiti during the reigns of the Duvalier family over a 29-year period.
Today the Haitian Diaspora has huge populations living in the Little Haiti's of both New York City and South Florida.
