Rara

The word Rara that comes to be part of Haitian culture originated in the Hebrew language. In Hebrew, the word is Rarah which means evil. This is dated back to the time of Jesus Christ. It represents the mistreatment that Jesus received for preaching the gospel. Also, another sign associated with the the passage of Jesus Christ on earth in Rara tradition, is on Good Friday when Voodoo practitioners come out on the streets to whoop Zombies, just like the Israelites did to Jesus.|
