Shipwreck found Off Haiti May Be Santa Maria
This has been considered as the biggest and most important marine discovery so far. Experts are saying that a shipwreck located off northern of the Caribbean island of Haiti may be the remains of Christopher Columbus' flagship vessel the Santa Maria.
If this is true, that will be considered as an enormous finding.
An explorer stated in May, 2014. He does experts expressed some caution about the discovery.
Underwater explorer Barry Clifford was the person of the team who found and investigated the wreck. He is quite confident that this is in fact the remains of Santa Maria .
