La Vallee Jacmel - Blog

La Vallée de Jacmel is the name of the touristic sea-side city of Jacmel, located in the southeastern department of Haiti. It is an independent peaceful village with an own rich history and culture. The center of the village is dominated by its parish church, hospital and schools. Most of the locals or 'Valléens' have long root with La Vallée and boast one of the highest literacy rates in the country and it is a home to some lesser known centenarians.
