Luck Mervil, the Haitian singer
Haitian singer, actor and songwriter, Luck Mervil was born in Haiti's capital, Port au Prince, in 1967.
His family moved to Canada while he was still young.
In 1993 he released his first album called RudeLuck which began his music career.
Luck Mervil is also known for his roles on television shows especially through the TV show called Sauve qui peut.
In addition, he acted in and composed Le Goût des jeunes filles.
Luck Mervil is the creator of the project Vilaj Vilaj in Haiti after the earthquake massacre.
In 2005 he received the award of Patriot of the Year by the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society.
Luck Mervil has helped Haiti a great deal to recover from the 2010 earthquake. He developed a model village program to build 800 houses at an altitude of 900 meters above the sea level.
