Following a vexatious statement by Joseph (Jojo) Lorquet and Ronald (Roro) Nelson, targeting two star reporters Liliane Pierre-Paul and Jean Monard Metellus, Marvel Dandin, the Director General of the Radio TV Kiskeya, on Saturday, January 23, 2016, made an appeal to the press and human rights organizations, both national and international and several republican institutions for protecting democracy and the freedom of expression of the journalist. The two accomplices of the President aired their views and threats before the cameras on the Storm TV station, belonging to the son of President Michel Martelly. As per their allegation, Liliane has called the President's son Oliver a 'thief' which she denied vehemently. She said radio programs are all recorded. Being a mother, she will never do that.

As per Liliane Paul, a recent statement by the President indicates that he holds the power of life and death over other countrymen.
