The former Haitian Dictator did not receive a state funeral following his death from a heart attack at age 63. However, the decision was made by the Martelly Government not to do so

Jean Claude Duvalier attorney announced late this week that a simple and private funeral would be arranged for him. It actually took place at the St. Louis de Gonzague school chapel in Port-au-Prince October 11, 2014.
