The new interim president Jocelerme Privert has called all the politicians for a political consensus to unite and pull the impoverished nation out of the political and constitutional crisis. He has promised that within his limited 120 day tenure, he will focus on restoring national security and the rule of law to achieve a free and fair credible election. During a speech at the garden of the National Palace, he has said that the moral duties of every politician and administrator should focus exclusively on effective, unbiased and transparent management of the state. The ceremony was heavily attended by the representatives of the Fanmi Lavalas political party while very few of Martelly supporters were present at the National Palace garden during the occasion.
