Tropicana D'haiti often perform music from all genres of Latin Repertoire including salsa, meringue, Caribbean, and American Jazz. Tropicana was created in the early 1960s in Cap-Haitian. This band has taken the Kompa created by Nemours Jean Bapstite and Weber Sicort in the mid 50 and improved upon it
