It is Mardi Gras - 2013 National Carnival in Cap-Haitian - Live

This is the last day of the 2013 National Carnival in Cap-Haitian. We have been bringing the pictures and the sounds to you. Tonight is no exception as we will be bringing the entire event right into your computer directly from Cap-Haitian.

Carnival in Haiti is known for great cultural diversity and celebration. It is also a greatest sources of economic activities.

It is a time for Mardi-Gras, celebrated on the last day of the Carnival. Mardi-Gras is also known as Fat-Tuesday. The following day after Mardi-Gras is called as Ash-Wednesday, which a beginning of the Penitential Season of lent. In Haiti however it marks the beginning of the Rara period.
