Voting in Petion Ville, Haiti, le 25 octobre 2015.

The electoral process in Haiti is unwieldy, and voters had to choose from among 54 candidates for the presidency. In addition Haiti has 120-plus parties, whose representatives deployed overseers to polling centers. Not all of them behaved well, and it was reported the Haitian National Police, who were masked, tased some of the more disorderly.

Reclusive former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide voted at a polling station near his home, his choice, Maryse Narcisse of his Fanmi Lavalas party. Other favorites for president included Jude Celestin, Jovenel Moise, and Jean-Charles, who represents Haiti's downtrodden.
