Here is a video of Republican Mia Love as she was delivering her victory speech at the Salt Lake Hilton on Nov. 4, 2014.

Mia love will be the first Haitian-American to serve in the Capital. She managed to make history in so many ways, as first Haitian-American in US Congress, second, as First Black woman Republican in Congress, also as first Mormon in Utah to be elected to congress.

She was surrounded by husband, Jason, and their kids: Alessa, 14; Abigail, 11; and Peyton, 7.

"Tonight you have made history" according to Mia. "Many of the naysayers out there said that Utah would never elect a black Republican LDS (Latter Day Saint) woman to Congress. Not only did we do it, we were the first to do it"
