Ceremony to deliver certificates to the new graduates of the Haitian defense force.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, President Martelly was present at the base of Gressier in the West Department in a swearing-in and graduation ceremony of different promotions of Army Corps of Engineers trained in Haiti and Ecuador. The ceremony started with one minute silence in remembrance of the departed souls of the victims of terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, November 13. Lener Renauld, the Minister of Defense and of Foreign Affairs, who was present during the occasion said, this presentation of certificates to the scholars of the "Junta Interamericana de Defensa" is a part of the country's initiative to provide the country with a solid defense force capable to serve and defend the population and the country from all possible threats.
