Soledad O'Brien Exclusive Interview with Jean-Claude Duvalier

The former CNN host Soledad O'Brien, managed to interview former Haitian dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier, also known as "Baby Doc." This was done as a first segment for Al Jazeera America. She spoke with the former Haitian dictator for the channel's America Tonight. In that same segment, Soledad O'Brien also interviewed former political prisoner of Duval.

Jean-Claude Duvalier ruled Haiti as a brutal dictator for years until he was ousted in 1986. During his government, Jean Claude introduced cosmetic changes and delegated much authority to his advisors

He was known for a lavish lifestyle, with a $3 million wedding in 1980, all cost paid by the government.

Duvalier returned to Haiti on January 16, 2011 after his self-imposed exile in France. He is facing possible charges for embezzlement and corruption. On February 28, 2013, Duvalier pleaded not guilty to charges of corruption and human rights abuse.
