Senate President, Simon Dieuseul Desras backing off fom Accord

The President of the Senate, Simon Dieuseul Desras, announced Wednesday (3/12/14) that he will no longer sign the agreement reached at Hotel El Rancho. According to the Senator, there has been a change in the Political context. He doesn't any longer want to sigh as a Witness. Instead, he proposed opening this Thursday an institutional dialogue with the executive.

Cardinal Chibly Langlois celebrated first Mass

Before an audience of several thousand people, at the soccer stadium Silvio Cator in downtown Port-au-Prince, the new Cardinal of Haiti, Chibly Langlois celebrated his first Mass.

His message on the occasion was telling the crowd there is a need to show compassion for others.Cardinal Langlois stated that many people would not survive or they would go hungry if it was not for the kindness of others. more »

Haitian Child daily sacrifice for an Education

The reality between Haiti and the Dominican Republic as a Haitian child is obligated to cross the border on a daily basis and learn a new language just to get an education.

Fifteen-year-old Evens is one of the hundreds young Haitians who travels long miles, illegally cross the border via the Massacre River.

Each day of school is a victory as he faces many barriers. The daily travel to go to school is never quite certain as he might not sometime be allowed to cross and never quite sure if they will be permitted to remain in school. more »

Fanmi Lavalas new protest against Martelly "Cho Cho Net"
