« Previous · Next »Carline Viergelin, the new member of the CEP who replaced Me Néhémy JOSEPH was officially installed.
Within a week of resignation of Joseph Nehemy from the nine members CEP body, representing 9 sections of the society, the National Palace had officially announced the appointment of Carline Viergelin as the successor of Joseph Néhémy in the CEP representing Haitian voodoo and peasant communities on October 2, 2015. However, none of the leaders of the two Haitian Voodoo sects, namely, "Koze Pèp" and "Tet Kole Ti Peyizan Ayisyen", who appointed Joseph Nehemy as their representative in the CEP, have approved her nomination for the CEP. Even Augustine St. Clou representing 18 voodoo organizations in the country is unaware of her selection. As per National Palace sources, her appointment as an electoral adviser is waiting for a simple swearing-in ceremony.
